How I Help

Hands on Health

Listen & Assess

Firstly, I listen to you so that I understand more about you, your reasons for coming to see me and what you hope to get out of the session. I may do some range of motion and strength tests if appropriate or we may just go straight into the treatment if you’ve come for general maintenance or a therapeutic massage.

Hands On Health

Treatment

Using a combination of massage and manual therapy techniques, I tailor my treatment to your needs and goals and work with you to ease any areas of pain, tension and discomfort. I will always check in with you during a treatment and work within your tolerances to achieve the best results.

Hands On Health

After-care

This may involve recommending some stretching or strengthening exercises if appropriate, and advice on self-massage techniques that you can do to keep niggles at bay. The aim is to equip you with tools and techniques you can use to carry on the healing process at home.

Benefits of Treatment

You don’t need to be in pain to benefit from an appointment. Even if you have no immediate issues, regular treatments can help to maintain your body in optimum condition for whatever you ask of it, or whatever life throws at you.

My treatments work on many levels and have wide-ranging beneficial effects:

  • Relieve chronic and acute pain
  • Reduce tension in muscles, tendons and joints
  • Help prevent injuries and speed up recovery from injury
  • Enhance sporting performance
  • Promote healing
  • Reduce stress and anxiety
  • Relieve tension headaches and migraines
  • Increase flexibility, range of motion and mobility
  • Promote relaxation and a sense of wellbeing
  • Help you sleep better

Treatments & Prices

60 minutes is recommended for your first session.  This allows time for us to go through your consultation form together and have enough time left for a meaningful treatment to take place.  If follow up sessions are needed, we’ll chat about how long those sessions should be at the time.

Package options are also available.  These are ideal if you’d like regular treatments or are training for a specific event.  These options offer a discount on the individual treatment price.

Duration Single session Pack of 3 Pack of 6

60 mins £68 £180 £340

Payment methods: You can pay by card, cash or bank transfer. If paying by bank transfer this will need to be done either in advance or at the time of treatment.

Cancellation policy: Please give at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment or you may be charged a cancellation fee.

About Vicky

Hi – I’m Vicky Bulkley, a friendly and professional sports massage and soft tissue therapist based in Thames Ditton.

I’ve always been a great believer in the benefits of massage therapy in general and first came across sports massage in 2003 whilst training for the London Marathon. My legs and whole body in general felt so much better after each session, it enabled me to recover faster from training runs and helped get me to the start of the marathon injury free so that I could actually enjoy the event!

I was so convinced by the benefits that I decided to re-train as a sports and remedial massage therapist, gaining my BTEC Level 4 diploma with the renowned London School of Sports Massage (LSSM) in 2007, and have been happily treating clients ever since. I am also a member of the Institute of Soft Tissue Therapists (ISRM).

I love working with people of all ages and from all walks of life and am passionate about helping them to feel better and move better. My goal is to enable my clients to keep doing the things that matter to them so that they can get the most out of life.

In my spare time I like to keep up to date with industry-related podcasts, webinars and courses and I also love cycling, swimming, yoga and going for walks with our dog Toby.
