Feel Better, Move Better
Welcome to Hands On Health
My name is Vicky Bulkley and I’m a qualified Sports Massage and Soft Tissue Therapist based in Thames Ditton.
Whether you are training for a particular event, are suffering from or recovering from a specific ailment or injury, are experiencing general aches, pains, tension or stress, or just want to keep your body in good working order, sports massage and soft tissue therapy can help. I offer treatments for all ages and for a wide range of issues, conditions and reasons.
Firstly, I listen to you so that I understand more about you, your reasons for coming to see me and what you hope to get out of the session. I may do some range of motion and strength tests if appropriate or we may just go straight into the treatment if you’ve come for general maintenance or a therapeutic massage.
Treatment
Using a combination of massage and manual therapy techniques, I tailor my treatment to your needs and goals and work with you to ease any areas of pain, tension and discomfort. I will always check in with you during a treatment and work within your tolerances to achieve the best results.
After-care
This may involve recommending some stretching or strengthening exercises if appropriate, and advice on self-massage techniques that you can do to keep niggles at bay. The aim is to equip you with tools and techniques you can use to carry on the healing process at home.
Benefits of Treatment
You don’t need to be in pain to benefit from an appointment. Even if you have no immediate issues, regular treatments can help to maintain your body in optimum condition for whatever you ask of it, or whatever life throws at you.
My treatments work on many levels and have wide-ranging beneficial effects:
Relieve chronic and acute pain
Reduce tension in muscles, tendons and joints
Help prevent injuries and speed up recovery from injury
Enhance sporting performance
Promote healing
Reduce stress and anxiety
Relieve tension headaches and migraines
Increase flexibility, range of motion and mobility
Promote relaxation and a sense of wellbeing
Help you sleep better
Treatments & Prices
60 minutes is recommended for your first session. This allows time for us to go through your consultation form together and have enough time left for a meaningful treatment to take place. If follow up sessions are needed, we’ll chat about how long those sessions should be at the time.
Package options are also available. These are ideal if you’d like regular treatments or are training for a specific event. These options offer a discount on the individual treatment price.

Hi – I’m Vicky Bulkley, a friendly and professional sports massage and soft tissue therapist based in Thames Ditton.
I’ve always been a great believer in the benefits of massage therapy in general and first came across sports massage in 2003 whilst training for the London Marathon. My legs and whole body in general felt so much better after each session, it enabled me to recover faster from training runs and helped get me to the start of the marathon injury free so that I could actually enjoy the event!
I was so convinced by the benefits that I decided to re-train as a sports and remedial massage therapist, gaining my BTEC Level 4 diploma with the renowned London School of Sports Massage (LSSM) in 2007, and have been happily treating clients ever since. I am also a member of the Institute of Soft Tissue Therapists (ISRM).
I love working with people of all ages and from all walks of life and am passionate about helping them to feel better and move better. My goal is to enable my clients to keep doing the things that matter to them so that they can get the most out of life.
In my spare time I like to keep up to date with industry-related podcasts, webinars and courses and I also love cycling, swimming, yoga and going for walks with our dog Toby.

Testimonials
Vicky is a very skilled therapist. She is welcoming and provides a relaxing environment for your massage. Vicky has a clear understanding of the body and how to address areas of tension and discomfort. I have been a regular client for many years and every time I come away from the treatment, I feel more relaxed and tension areas less intense. I highly recommend Vicky if you have tension or sports related issues.

I have seen Vicky for sports massages for several years. I have benefitted enormously from massages not only to speed recovery from specific muscle and soft tissue injuries, but also to manage the build-up of minor strains and niggles from exercise and generally to maintain flexibility and range of motion in my joints. Vicky is very professional and experienced and is always friendly and welcoming. She takes the time to listen to my descriptions of the areas that need attention and hones in on where the problems originate. While massage of really tight muscles can be painful, Vicky always manages to get just the right level to release the tension in the muscles and soft tissues without making me too sore. I am always very pleased with the results.

Vicky is an excellent sports massage therapist. I have been visiting Vicky for several years now for regular treatment to ease shoulder, back and hip discomfort, due to dancing and aerobic classes. Vicky always manages to find the most painful area to focus her attention on and alleviate, which is a testament to her ability as a therapist. I would highly recommend Vicky to anyone looking for sports massage treatments.

I am a keen runner and have been seeing Vicky monthly for the last couple of years.
I can safely say that without regular massage I wouldn’t be able to run every day. I ran the London Marathon last October and with Vicky’s help secured a PB and walked away injury free. Monthly massage with Vicky is now very much part of my training regime and very important for my legs (I’m terrible at stretching). Toby her little dog is a great form of therapy too!

My family and I have been visiting Vicky for some time now. She is friendly, very professional and we always feel great after seeing her.
